Daniel Thompson is the President and Director of Investigations at Allied Investigations & Consulting, Inc. His unique experience in the investigative world sets him apart from others in the field of private investigations.
Daniel's police career started on the streets of Brooklyn. His outstanding performance led him to be assigned to the Organized Crime Control Bureau, Narcotics Division. As a result of Daniel's dedication and brilliant performance in this unit, he was promoted to the rank of Detective.
Daniel was later transferred to the NYPD's Detective Bureau and assigned to the Gang Division. It was there Daniel's expertise in surveillance was honed. His outstanding success landed him an assignment in the elite Gang Division Major Case Squad. He found himself working with fellow NYPD Detectives, INS Agents, Department of Corrections Investigators and Federal Bureau of Investigations agents. Serving as lead case officer, Daniel conducted investigations into narcotics trafficking, prostitution, fraudulent documents and gang violence throughout the city. Using sophisticated electronic surveillance equipment and his investigative skills, Daniel brought many of New York City's most violent gang members to justice. His success in the area of Gang Investigations led to the implementation and use of Daniel's investigative strategies by other agencies and prosecutors offices. Daniel has been a guest speaker at law enforcement seminars where he has been able to share his knowledge with fellow law enforcement agents as well as prosecutors.
In addition, in 1997, Daniel was trained by the US Secret Service and chosen to work with them during the Republican National Convention, protecting dignitaries including US Senators and Governors. His training and experience further includes Dignitary Protection, Counter Terrorism, Sex Crimes, Criminal Investigation, Homicide Investigation, Insurance Fraud, Narcotics and Organized Crime.
Daniel has testified extensively in State and Federal courts and has been involved in enforcement, on the local and federal level. He has also been declared an expert witness in trial testimony at numerous Gang related trials. Daniel has spent thousands of hours conducting surveillance with the most sophisticated equipment available. He mastered the art of physical surveillance through proven strategies and extensive experience.
After 23 years of law enforcement service, Daniel retired from the NYPD. With his retirement he brought his investigative skills to the civilian world and founded Allied Investigations & Consulting, Inc. a private investigator and detective agency, based in Suffolk County. Daniel is now offering his extensive investigative knowledge and experience to the public in a professional and cost-effective manner.
